Geothermal Ukraine, on behalf of Taras Popadynets, the Head of the board, represented the organization in the SPE Europe Energy Conference & Exhibition held from June 26-28, 2024, in Turin, Italy.
This prominent event brought together leading experts and organizations from the O&G and overall energy sector to discuss the latest innovations and development trends, including the energy transition, decarbonization and digitalization of the global energy market and infrastructure. The event provided a valuable platform for networking, knowledge exchange and fostering international collaborations, essential for the advancement of geothermal energy and CCUS technologies. The most important attention was paid to the existing O&G expertise, skills and infrastructure to be applied for the clean geoenergy projects development to enhance the energy sustainability, security and reduce the negative ecological impact on environment.
During the conference, in collaboration with the partners - Enovate Ai, a research titled “Asset Re-Purposing Feasibility for Geothermal Energy Production in Ukraine” was presented, which highlighted innovative AI approaches for transforming existing energy infrastructure to support geothermal energy projects development in Ukraine.
