Verkishf. company joint with Geothermal Ukraine, ÍSOR- Iceland GeoSurvey, as well as other interested parties, held a kick-off meeting of the Geothermal Ukraine project on June 7, 2023.
The main idea of the project is to assess the potential of direct use of geothermal energy in western Ukraine. From a technical point of view, a preliminary feasibility study will be conducted and a basic concept of using geothermal resources for district heating as well as industrial and tourist purposes will be proposed.
The project partners plan to engage in dialogue with local stakeholders to develop a plan for the further implementation of the proposed projects.
