On October 10-11, Ivano-Frankivsk hosted the European Days of Research and Innovation, marking the second iteration of this event organized under the "New Economy of Ivano-Frankivsk" (NEF) project, funded by the European Union.
The event continues its mission to foster dialogue on innovation and scientific research, providing a platform for the exchange of ideas and the establishment of collaborations.
Among the notable speakers was Taras Popadynets, Executive Director of the NGO Geothermal Ukraine, who delivered an insightful presentation titled "Geothermal Energy: Untapped Potential of the Earth and Its Role in Ukraine's Energy Security." His talk highlighted the significant opportunities geothermal resources offer for sustainable development and energy independence.
This year’s event drew approximately 100 participants and received additional support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), further emphasizing its global and local significance.
