As part of Ukrainian-Dutch cooperation, a new project has been launched to explore the geothermal potential of the Lviv region (Ukraine) and assess the feasibility of using geothermal energy directly in greenhouse farming. A successful implementation of this model will open up prospects for its scaling in other regions across Ukraine.
Geothermal energy is a reliable, renewable, and independent energy source that offers an effective solution for the agro-industrial sector. Its application can significantly enhance Ukraine’s energy security and support stable food production.
This project is supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine and financed by the Private sector development program of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) | Partner in Sustainable Development under the International development Policy of the Government of the Netherlands.
Sustainable energy development and food security are essential pillars for Ukraine’s long-term resilience and prosperity.
